Canya Vivi was quick to begin. Paw Helion and Sunny Marionvale were slow to begin.
Canya Striker (marred Canya Vivi in the home straight), underwent a post–race veterinary examination - no injury reported. Stewards spoke to Trainer Ms. Jessica Hopkins regarding Canya Striker’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Canya Striker was charged with marring. Ms. Hopkins pleaded guilty to the charge. Canya Striker was suspended for 28 days at Shepparton (first offence) and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
