Owen Bale crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Fine Diner, Bryvon and Planetman. Fine Diner, Planetman and Bryvon collided approaching the first turn. Owen Bale, Derby Magic, Ice Cold Bundy and Ima Screw Loose collided approaching the first turn, checking Ice Cold Bundy and Derby Magic. Fine Diner, Bryvon and Planetman collided on the first turn, checking Bryvon and Planetman which stumbled as a result. Bryvon and Planetman collided approaching the home turn, checking Planetman.
Planetman was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left pencil muscle and spike wounds to the left front leg, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
