Steward's Report
The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Valentine Belle and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 6.34pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer B Cook was fined the sum of $100.
Hydra and Kick Like Mick was slow to begin. Hurry Home Can and Lady Tron collided soon after the start, checking Lady Tron. Hydra and Ladies Kay collided soon after the start. Fizzy Bale crossed to the rail approaching the first turn, checking Hydra and Ladies Kay and severely checking Kick Like Mick. Hydra galloped on the heels of Fizzy Bale on the first turn, checking Ladies Kay and Hydra. Hydra and Ladies Kay raced wide in the home straight.
Hydra was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
