The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Valentine Belle and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 6.34pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer B Cook was fined the sum of $100.

Hydra and Kick Like Mick was slow to begin.  Hurry Home Can and Lady Tron collided soon after the start, checking Lady Tron.  Hydra and Ladies Kay collided soon after the start.  Fizzy Bale crossed to the rail approaching the first turn, checking Hydra and Ladies Kay and severely checking Kick Like Mick.  Hydra galloped on the heels of Fizzy Bale on the first turn, checking Ladies Kay and Hydra.  Hydra and Ladies Kay raced wide in the home straight.

Hydra was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Why Not Les, Kevin In Bangkok and Stagger Express collided soon after the start, checking Why Not Les.  Crackerjack Pest and My Girl Chloe collided approaching the first turn, checking Crackerjack Pest.  Stagger Express and Straw Hat Luffy collided approaching the home turn, checking Stagger Express and Why Not Les.  Oakey Boy checked off Kevin In Bangkok approaching the home turn.  Crackerjack Pest and Stagger Express collided in the home straight, checking Stagger Express.

J Thompson was fined the sum of $50.00 for his failure to produce the registration card for the greyhound Wahlberg pursuant to GAR 33.

Arolok Dora and Wahlberg collided soon after the start.  Spring Topaz checked off Superliner approaching the first turn.  Superliner and Wahlberg collided several times from approaching the first turn until approaching the home turn.  Superliner veered out and marred Wahlberg approaching the home turn, severely checking both greyhounds.  Speedy Beat and Arolok Dora collided on the home turn, checking both greyhounds.  Spring Topaz and Teddy Nitro raced wide in the home straight.  Speedy Beat and Spring Topaz collided approaching the winning post.

Superliner was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Wahlberg was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right pencil muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr C Hudson, the trainer of the greyhound Superliner regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Superliner with marring. Mr C Hudson pleaded guilty to the charge, Superliner was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Ima Misha Doll and Shirdon Connorae collided soon after the start.  Kool Puppy, Ima Misha Doll and Shirdon Connorae collided approaching the first turn, checking Ima Misha Doll.  Kool Puppy checked off Shirdon Connorae approaching the first turn.  Hez Got Nitro and Shirdon Connorae collided on the first turn, checking Hez Got Nitro.  Ima Misha Doll and Kool Puppy collided approaching the home turn.  Fearsome Warrior and Kool Puppy collided entering the home straight.  Ima Misha Doll and Shirdon Connorae collided approaching the winning post.

Hula and Asa Unbreakable were slow to begin.  Hula severely checked off Lucky Two Lips on the first turn.  Ate Grand Kids, Wayfarer and Sir Charleton collided entering the back straight, checking Wayfarer.  Ate Grand Kids and Global Lad collided approaching the second turn.  Wayfarer and Lucky Two Lips collided on the second turn.  Global Lad chcked off Ate Grand Kids on the second turn, checking Global Lad, Wayfarer and Lucky Two Lips.  Ate Grand Kids checked off Sir Charleton approaching the home turn, checking Global Lad.  Wayfarer checked off Hula on the home turn.

Black And Pretty was quick to begin.  Navaho and Cheap Currency collided soon after the start, checking both greyhounds.  Maverick Dusty checked off Light 'Em Up approaching the first turn.  Star Titan checked off Light 'Em Up approaching the first turn.  Light 'Em Up and Black And Pretty collided approaching the home turn, checking Black And Pretty.  Navaho raced wide on the home turn.

Shazzle's Boy was slow to begin.  Belena Jake was quick to begin.  Berzerk, We Are Geelong, No Jockey Needed and Grand Slam Diva collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn, checking We Are Geelong, No Jockey Needed and Grand Slam Diva.  Dust Maker and We Are Geelong collided on the first turn, checking Dust Maker.  Why Not Wayne raced wide on the home turn.  We Are Geelong and No Jockey Needed collided in the home straight.

Dundas Boy was slow to begin.  Punch It was quick to begin.  Cose Drom checked off Blistering Bob approaching the home turn.

Planetman was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left pencil muscle and spike wounds to the left front leg, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Noaki Lynx was quick to begin.  Hugh Made Who and Dollar Chips collided soon after the start, checking Dollar Chips.  Cerberus and Lass Bale collided on the first turn, checking Lass Bale.  Cerberus, Virtue and Baroness Molly collided approaching the home turn, checking Virtue and Baroness Molly.  Virtue and Baroness Molly collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.  Cerberus and Hugh Made Who collided entering the home straight.  Baroness Molly crossed to the rail in the home straight.
