Stewards spoke to the trainer of the greyhound Oscar Shriaz, Mr. F. Carbone, regarding the length of time the greyhound has between starts. Mr. Carbone stated he intended to rest the greyhound for a long period of time and use him to trial against his younger greyhounds to help educate them.
Tycoon Diamond was quick to begin. Trace Amount was slow to begin. Oscar Shiraz checked off Trace Amount on the first turn.
