Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to the trainer of Campaspe Will, Mr. N. Walls regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between starts. Mr. Walls stated that the greyhound has had problems with both wrists which he believes he has now rectified. As a consequence, Mr. Walls applied to have the greyhound race with 75mm tape on both wrists, which Stewards approved.
Gotta Get Back was slow to begin. Ketut's Kaput, Campaspe Will and Splash Of White collided soon after the start checking Campaspe Will. Hard Urned Burst, Pop Wright and Oriental Lotus collided approaching the first turn checking Hard Urned Burst. Ketut's Kaput and Splash Of White collided on the first turn checking Ketut's Kaput. Campaspe Will raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight. Gotta Get Back raced wide in the home straight.
Campaspe Will was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness in the right groin. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.
