Steward's Report
Mr. B. Philippe, trainer of the greyhound Urgent Thirst redeclared a new weight of 26.9kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Urgent Thirst last raced at 28.3kgs.
Stewards spoke to Mrs. B. King, trainer of the greyhound Class Aire regarding the extended period of time between the greyhound's races. Mrs. King stated that the greyhound was returning to race after suffering from a shoulder injury.
A pre-race sample was taken from Peter Repeater.
Class Aire and Urgent Thirst were slow to begin. Funky Star checked off Peter Repeater soon after the start. Peter Repeater and Tiny Profit collided on the first turn checking Tiny Profit and Coco Savi. Tiny Profit clipped the heels of Class Aire approaching the home turn checking Tiny Profit. Urgent Thirst checked off Tiny Profit on the home turn. Coco Savi raced wide in the home straight.
The Judges incorrectly semaphored the numbers 6, 1, 8 and 13 following the event. This was subsequently adjusted to show the correct numbers of 6,1, 8 and 3 before the All Clear was given.
