Ms. M. Shaw, representative of the greyhound Four See redeclared a new weight of 25.2kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Four See last raced at 26.7kgs.

Charlie's Lady and Four See were quick to begin.  Spring Series was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Ouch The Rainbow and Four See collided approaching the first turn checking Four See.  Chief Winslow clipped the heels of Ouch The Rainbow on the first turn checking Chief Winslow and Four See. Katie Alouette checked off Ouch The Rainbow approaching the home turn checking Chief Winslow.  Wild About Ty raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.  Katie Alouette and Chief Winslow collided in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr. H. McAdam, trainer of the greyhound Primal Biz regarding the extended period of time between the greyhound's races.  Mr. McAdam stated that the greyhound was returning to race after suffering from a metacarpal injury. 

Don's Pick, Dutch Schultz and Primal Biz were slow to begin.  Don's Pick checked off Dutch Schultz approaching the first turn.  Dutch Schultz checked off Gunmetal Warrior on the first turn checking Primal Biz.  Don's Pick and Primal Biz collided approaching the home turn.  Primal Biz checked off Gunmetal Warrior on the home turn.  Don's Pick crossed to the outside entering the home straight and collided with Primal Biz and Gunmetal Warrior; all three greyhounds were severely checked as a result.  Bendtastic checked off Lektra Glitter in the home straight.

Don's Pick was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained minor spike wounds to both its hocks.  No stand down period was imposed.

No No's, Shachar Magic and Maximum Melva were slow to begin.  Girrawarra Magic checked off To A Degree soon after the start.  Hilldene Dancer crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Kinloch Creek and severely checking No No's, To A Degree and Shachar Magic.  No No's and To A Degree collided approaching the home turn.  No No's checked off To A Degree on the home turn.

Kid Rhubarb was quick to begin.  Contrive, Franklin Pearl, Dark Bullet, Old Zebb, Our Banjo and Pequeno Rayo collided soon after the start checking Franklin Pearl, Dark Bullet, Old Zebb and Our Banjo.  Dark Bullet checked off Old Zebb approaching the first turn.  Contrive, Kid Rhubarb and Pequeno Rayo collided approaching the home turn checking Contrive and Franklin Pearl.  Our Banjo raced wide on the home turn.  Kid Rhubarb and Pequeno Rayo collided in the home straight checking Kid Rhubarb.  Kid Rhubarb checked off Contrive approaching the winning post.

Select Jess, Dyso Matt and Danda Flash were slow to begin.  Danda Flash stumbled at box rise and lost considerable ground as a result.  Miss Belena checked off Our Murray Grey approaching the first turn.  Dyso Matt checked off Miss Belena approaching the home turn checking Select Jess and Dyso Matt and severely checking Uncontrollable; Uncontrollable raced wide as a result.  Uncontrollable raced wide in the home straight.

Prancing Lad, Merlot Magic and Miss Latoya were slow to begin.  Valeria Bale checked off Wally Matuszek approaching the first turn checking Pason Sander. Prancing Lad, Merlot Magic, Pason Sander and Valeria Bale collided on the first turn severely checking Prancing Lad and Merlot Magic.  Pason Sander and Valeria Bale collided on the second turn checking Valeria Bale.  Miss Latoya checked off Wally Matuszek approaching the home turn.  Valeria Bale and Miss Latoya collided on the home turn.  Wally Matuszek and Pason Sander collided in the home straight.  Pason Sander and Valeria Bale collided approaching the winning post.

Sultan Of Swing, El Rojo Tini and Pop Wright were slow to begin.  Sultan Of Swing and Black Cardigan collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Subway checked off Pop Wright approaching the first turn.  Sultan Of Swing, Black Cardigan and El Rojo Tini collided on the first turn checking Black Cardigan and El Rojo Tini and severely checking Sultan Of Swing.  Black Cardigan and El Rojo Tini collided approaching the home turn checking El Rojo Tini.  Herodium and Sultan Of Swing raced wide on the home turn and again in the home straight.

Sugar Lips and Starvin' Seagull were slow to begin.  Master Phelps and Terrorizer collided soon after the start checking Master Phelps.  Castle Black, Boston George and Kid Monopoly collided soon after the start checking Boston George and severely checking Castle Black.  Castle Black checked off Kid Monopoly approaching the first turn checking Boston George.  Castle Black severely checked off Boston George on the first turn.  Starvn' Seagull eased on the first turn and lost considerable ground as a result.  Master Phelps checked off Starvin' Seagull approaching the home turn and raced wide as a result.  Boston George checked off Sugar Lips on the home turn.  Master Phelps raced wide on the home turn and again in the home straight.

Master Phelps was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Gibbons, the trainer of the greyhound Starvin' Seagull regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the first turn.  Starvin' Seagull was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left shoulder.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Starvin' Seagull with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Gibbons pleaded not guilty to the charge.  Starvin' Seagull was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Abdul, Chantilly Magic and Bold Caper were slow to begin.  With A Beer and Flying Hannah collided soon after the start checking Flying Hannah.  Son Of Sassi crossed to the rail on the first turn checking With A Beer and severely checking Flying Hannah, Seabrook Shelley and Bold Caper; Flying Hannah, Seabrook Shelley and Bold Caper raced wide as a result.  Abdul checked off With A Beer approaching the home turn.  Bold Caper and Chantilly Magic collided on the home turn checking Seabrook Shelley and severely checking Chantilly Magic and Flying Hannah.

Mr. B. Philippe, trainer of the greyhound Urgent Thirst redeclared a new weight of 26.9kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Urgent Thirst last raced at 28.3kgs.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. B. King, trainer of the greyhound Class Aire regarding the extended period of time between the greyhound's races.  Mrs. King stated that the greyhound was returning to race after suffering from a shoulder injury. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Peter Repeater. 

Class Aire and Urgent Thirst were slow to begin.  Funky Star checked off Peter Repeater soon after the start.  Peter Repeater and Tiny Profit collided on the first turn checking Tiny Profit and Coco Savi.  Tiny Profit clipped the heels of Class Aire approaching the home turn checking Tiny Profit.  Urgent Thirst checked off Tiny Profit on the home turn.  Coco Savi raced wide in the home straight.

The Judges incorrectly semaphored the numbers 6, 1, 8 and 13 following the event.  This was subsequently adjusted to show the correct numbers of 6,1, 8 and 3 before the All Clear was given.

Mr. R. Matthyssen, representative of the greyhound Twycroft Betty redeclared a new weight of 28.2kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Twycroft Betty last raced at 27.1kgs.

Alice Fox checked off Looney Lucy soon after the start.  Uncool Albert and Cosmic Lady collided soon after the start checking Cosmic Lady.  Cazar Rose and Garaole collided soon after the start checking Cazar Rose.  Cazar Rose checked off Cosmic Lady approaching the first turn.  Garaole checked off Uncool Albert on the first turn.  Uncool Albert and Looney Lucy collided on the home turn.  Cazar Rose and Garaole collided on the home turn checking Cosmic Lady and severely checking Garaole.  Sanz Gold checked off Looney Lucy in the home straight.  Alice Fox checked off Sanz Gold in the home straight. 

The starting time for this event was put back 3 minutes to 3.30pm at Sky Racing's request.

Mr. T. Whitford, trainer of the greyhound Angel's Chief redeclared a new weight of 30.2kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Angel's Chief last raced at 31.3kgs.

Wicked Unit was slow to begin.  Bandsaw, Angel's Chief, Belena Bolt, Locked Out and Remo Coffee collided soon after the start checking Bandsaw, Angel's Chief, Belena Bolt and Locked Out.  Bandsaw, Angel's Chief, Belena Bolt and Locked Out collided approaching the first turn checking Angel's Chief and Belena Bolt and severely checking Bandsaw.  Angel's Chief and Belena Bolt collided several times from approaching the home turn to the home turn severely checking both greyhounds.  Remo Coffee checked off Locked Out on the home turn.

Satisfactory Trial

Che Road (Box manners) trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 2, weight 25.2kgs.  The greyhound was placed 4th, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 22.32.  The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 15 lengths.  Che Road was cleared.
