Marlise was slow to begin. Remy Bale and Gabonia collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn checking Gabonia. Marlise and Kilter Bale collided approaching the first turn. Darra Blaze checked off Gandolf Bale approaching the second turn and collided with Flaming Causeway as a result. Gandolf Bale and Gabonia collided on the home turn.
Marlise was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its left shoulder, triceps and monkey and its right triceps. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
