Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to the trainer of the greyhound Marmions Pride, Mr. G. Shingles, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between starts. Mr. Shingles stated that the greyhound was new to his kennel and had been on season. Stewards noted Mr. Shingles comments.
Ollie Boy, Aeroplane Becky and Berda Bale were slow to begin. Aeroplane Becky and Berda Bale collided soon after the start. Oppi Bale and Ollie Boy collided approaching the first turn. Atkin Bale, Oppi Bale, Marmion's Pride, Aeroplane Becky and Berda Bale collided on the first turn checking Oppi Bale, Marmion's Pride and Aeroplane Becky. Marmion's Pride and Aeroplane Becky collided approaching the second turn. Danger Money checked off Helga Bale approaching the third turn. Oppi Bale and Ollie Boy collided in the home straight.
Ollie Boy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its left triangle and right monkey. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
