Steward's Report

Super Ballotelli was slow to begin.

Bluehawk Sun and Charming Ally collided soon after the start. Spanish Express checked off Charming Ally approaching the first turn. Outrageous Ollie and Elite Runner collided several times approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Outrageous Ollie faltered on the first turn and tailed off. Super Ballotelli raced wide entering the home straight.

Outrageous Ollie was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury.

Stewards spoke to Gregory Couldridge, the handler of the greyhound Outrageous Ollie regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Outrageous Ollie with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Couldridge pleaded guilty to the charge, Outrageous Ollie was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
