Ima Tornado was a late scratching at 5.22p.m. on veterinary advice due to illness. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Ripstick Ella was slow to begin.
Zoally checked off One Stormy Night soon after the start. Ripstick Ella and Eumeralla Fiona collided on the first turn checking Eumeralla Fiona. Paper Planes checked off Eumeralla Fiona approaching the home turn. One Stormy Night eased in the home straight.
One Stormy Night was vetted and revetted following race 3. It was reported that there was no apparent injury.
Stewards spoke to Yvonne Andrews, the trainer of the greyhound One Stormy Night regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged One Stormy Night with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mrs Andrews pleaded guilty to the charge, One Stormy Night was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
