Steward's Report

Dyna Keitaro crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Governor Bale, Velocity Saphire and Hooksy.  Dyna Keitaro, Governor Bale, Hooksy and Skip's Nightmare collided on the first turn, checking Hooksy, Skip's Nightmare and Velocity Saphire.  Hooksy and Dyna Keitaro collided approaching the home turn, checking Dyna Keitaro.  Scenic Shot checked off Governor Bale approaching the winning post.

Hooksy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Auld, the handler of Hooksy with regard to the length of time the greyhound has had between racing. Hooksy last raced on 2nd January 2015. Mr. Auld stated that Hooksy suffered a shoulder injury at The Meadows last July and re-injured that same shoulder at Bendigo at its last start in January. Mr. Auld added that Hooksy trialled well before tonight's event and in his opinion the greyhound will improve with racing.
