Rebel Lady and See Him Run was quick to begin. Miss Rossi, Darra Ash and Who's That Hook were slow to begin. Heleray Steele and Miss Rossi collided approaching the first turn checking Miss Rossi. Seabrook Shelley and Miss Rossi collided approaching the home turn checking Seabrook Shelley and Dara Ash. Heleray Steele and Select Seaspray collided approaching the home turn checking Select Seaspray. Rebel Lady eased on the home turn and collided with See Him Run and Heleray Steele, checking both greyhounds. See Him Run and Rebel Lady collided in the home straight.
Select Seaspray was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a sore right groin. A stand down period of 5 days was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Ms. B. King, the handler of the greyhound Rebel Lady regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Rebel Lady was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left triangle and left tricep, a 7 stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Rebel Lady with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms. King pleaded guilty to the charge, Rebel Lady was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
