Nitro Sal was very slow to begin. Lord Kitchener went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin. Miss Capone, Jax Marmion, Kalimna Sprite, Derby Dream and Blue Marmion collided on the first turn checking Jax Marmion, Kalimna Sprite and Leo Speedwagon. Lord Kitcener and Miss Capone collided on the home turn.
Nitro Sal was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left tricep and left groin. A stand down period of 14 days was imposed.
