Steward's Report
Ginger Pieces was quick to begin. Dozer Lad and Riverside Wade were slow to begin. Explosive Lass, Arvo's Tayzer and Ginger Pieces collided soon after the start checking Arvo's Tayzer. Ginger Pieces crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Prince Nando and Explosive Lass. Dozer Lad galloped on the heels of Riverside Wade on the first turn checking both greyhounds; Dozer Lad stumbled and checked Arvo's Tayzer as a result. Big Vee, Prince Nando and Dark Avenger collided on the first turn. Big Vee and Prince Nando collided approaching the home turn checking Big Vee. Big Vee raced wide on the home turn.
Dozer Lad was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its left shoulder and right triangle. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
