Steward's Report
Kalara was slow to begin. Kiwi Collision crossed to the rail approaching the first turn, checking Magic Mia and Hello Tamara, and causing Hello Tamara to stumble. Magic Mia and Arolok Lil' Gal collided on the first turn, checking Magic Mia. Hello Tamara checked off Marcus Daking approaching the home turn. Kamchatka Lass and Kiwi Collision collided in the home straight. Marcus Daking and Arolok Lil' Gal collided in the home straight. Hello Tamara and Brienne collided in the home straight. Marcus Daking, Brienne and Hello Tamara collided approaching the winning post.
Stewards spoke to Mr. A. Farley, the handler of the greyhound Hello Tamara regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Hello Tamara was vetted and after being re-vetted following event eight, it was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both monkey muscles, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Hello Tamara with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Farley pleaded guilty to the charge, Hello Tamara was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
