Destini Mirror and Nirranda Girl collided approaching the first turn, checking Destini Mirror. Destini Mirror and Big Tommy Mae collided on the first turn, severely checking Big Tommy Mae. Geordie's Wish and Nirranda Girl collided on the first turn, checking Nirranda Girl. Destini Ricardo and My Mate Fab collided approaching the home turn, checking Destini Ricardo. Nirranda Girl and Destini Ricardo collided approaching the winning post. 

Big Tommy Mae was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the left hind toe, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

The judges inadvertently semaphored the numbers 4, 3, 2 and 7 before correcting them to 4, 3, 1 & 2 prior to the all clear being given. 

Mr. G. Turnbull, trainer of Jacana, declared a new weight of 27.7kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Jacana last raced at 26.0kg.

To The Choppar and Zero Care Factor collided approaching the first turn, checking Zero Care Factor. Alouette Jack and Zipping Ethan collided approaching the first turn, checking Alouette Jack. Murrabit Betty and Lektra Peck collided approaching the home turn. Zipping Ethan and To The Choppar collided approaching the home turn, checking To The Choppar. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Turnbull, the trainer of the greyhound Jacana regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Jacana was vetted and after being re-vetted following event four, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left monkey muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Jacana with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Turnbull pleaded guilty to the charge, Jacana was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a),  before any future nomination will be accepted.

Slipaway Bolt, Breakwater Bay and Pop Do It were slow to begin. Black Colossus, Penny Pitstop, Fastnet Kahn and Platinum Impact collided approaching the first turn, checking Fastnet Kahn, Slipaway Bolt and Breakwater Bay, and severely checking Black Colossus and Penny Pitstop. Slipaway Bolt and Breakwater Bay collided entering the home straight, severely checking both greyhounds. Black Colossus raced wide in the home straight.

Kalara was slow to begin. Kiwi Collision crossed to the rail approaching the first turn, checking Magic Mia and Hello Tamara, and causing Hello Tamara to stumble. Magic Mia and Arolok Lil' Gal collided on the first turn, checking Magic Mia. Hello Tamara checked off Marcus Daking approaching the home turn. Kamchatka Lass and Kiwi Collision collided in the home straight. Marcus Daking and Arolok Lil' Gal collided in the home straight. Hello Tamara and Brienne collided in the home straight. Marcus Daking, Brienne and Hello Tamara collided approaching the winning post.

Ho Choi, Slipaway Robbie and Golden Warrior were slow to begin. Fawn Pursuit and Golden Warrior collided approaching the first turn. Lektra Hutch and Slipaway Robbie collided on the first turn.

Stewards spoke to Ms. M. Shaw, the kennel representattve of Lisa Mae regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Lisa Mae last raced on 12th April, 2016.  Ms Shaw stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after being on season.

Weona Jet and Vegas Again were slow to begin. Cudgee's Milo, Crackerjack Surf and Lisa Mae collided soon after the start.  Vegas Again checked off Weona Jet approaching the home turn.  Miss Just Under raced wide in the home straight.  Crackerjack Surf checked off Lisa Mae on the first turn checking Weona Jet and Vegas Again.  Vegas Again checked off Weona Jet approaching the home turn.  Miss Just Under raced wide in the home straight.

Johnny Bandana was quick to begin. Mudslinger was slow to begin. Lektra Elusive went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin. Orchard Road, Ava's Shadow, Miss Fox and Wilbur collided on the first turn, checking Ava's Shadow, Miss Fox, Lola Cherry Cola and Mudslinger. Ava's Shadow checked off Wilbur approaching the home turn.
