Spring To Wyn was quick to begin. Big Tommy Mae was slow to begin. Geordie's Wish and Ashanti Alinga collided soon after the start. Destini Mirror and Nirranda Girl collided approaching the first turn, checking Destini Mirror. Destini Mirror and Big Tommy Mae collided on the first turn, severely checking Big Tommy Mae. Geordie's Wish and Nirranda Girl collided on the first turn, checking Nirranda Girl. Destini Ricardo and My Mate Fab collided approaching the home turn, checking Destini Ricardo. Nirranda Girl and Destini Ricardo collided approaching the winning post.
Big Tommy Mae was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the left hind toe, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.
