A pre-race sample was taken from Mc Fipa.
Rosie Riccarton, She's Our Poppy and Sea Fever were quick to begin. Freedom Fire was slow to begin. Sea Fever and Electromagnetic collided approaching the first turn. She's Our Poppy and Mc Fipa collided approaching the first turn. Sea Fever checked off Rosie Riccarton on the first turn. Electromagnetic and Better In Boots collided on the first turn, checking Electromagnetic, She's Our Poppy and Cosmic Tilly, severely checking Mc Fipa which stumbled and raced wide. She's Our Poppy brushed the running rail approaching the second turn. Freedom Fire checked off Electromagnetic on the second turn. Cosmic Tilly and Electromagnetic collided on the third turn.
A sample was taken from Rosie Riccarton - the winner of the event.
Mc Fipa was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
