Steward's Report
Rubrica and Mysterize were slow to begin. Hatchet Bale and Shelley Keeping collided approaching the first turn, checking Hatchet Bale. Rubrica and Mysterize collided approaching the first turn. Shanlyn George and Motel Girl collided approaching the first turn. Shanlyn George, Motel Girl, Shelley Keeping and Bracket Creep collided on the first turn, checking Motel Girl and Hatcher Bale. Rubrica and Motel Girl collided approaching the second turn, checking both greyhounds. Motel Girl and Mysterize collided entering the back straight. Rubrica checked off Mysterize approaching the home turn.
Motel Girl was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Knocker, the handler of Motel Girl regarding the greyhound’s performance in today’s event. Mr. Knocker stated that, in his opinion Motel Girl is best suited when racing towards the lead. He added that Motel Girl is only having it’s fifth start today and that the interference suffered earlier in the race may have materially affected it’s performance. Stewards noted his comments and took no further action.
