A pre- race sample was taken from Horus Gun.
Show Me Bling and Aston Tadita were quick to begin. Yorgi and Fear The Boss collided soon after the start. Dewana Express galloped on the heels of Lady Cyclops soon after the start, checking Lady Cyclops. Show Me Bling and Aston Tadita collided approaching the first turn, checking Aston Tadita, Fear The Boss, Dewana Express and Horus Gun. Yorgi checked off Aston Tadita on the first turn. Dewana Express crossed to the rail on the third turn, checking Yorgi and Aston Tadita. Dewana Express and Horus Gun collided several times on the home turn. Delta Bad Hand crossed to the outside entering the home straight and collided with Fear The Boss. Delta Bad Hand and Fear The Boss collided several times from entering the home stright until the winning post, checking both greyhounds. Yorgi, Dewana Express and Horus Gun collided approaching the winning post.

Fear The Boss was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr W. McMahon, the trainer of Fear The Boss regarding the greyhounds performance approaching the winning post. After viewing the head on footage and taking into account the interference sustained, Stewards took no further action.
Stewards also reminded Mr McMahon of his responsibilities after he failed to provide a catcher for Fear The Boss.
