A pre-race sample was taken from Wicker Waker upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
A pre-race sample was taken from Knightrider.
Knightrider crossed to the rail approaching the first turn causing Santana, Epping Champ, Mates Blue, White With One and Jack Of Meade to collide. Santana and Epping Champ collided several times approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Mates Blue, Jack Of Meade and Ripple Eff Ex collided on the first turn checking White With One and causing Ripple Eff Ex to fall; Santana and Wicker Waker were severely checked as a result. Santana and Epping Champ collided on the first turn checking Santana.
Ripple Eff Ex was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left wrist and abrasions to its left front leg. A14 day stand down period was imposed.
