Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Zipping Simmo upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
Gold Compass was quick to begin. Nangar Fox and Allen Varmint collided soon after the start. Sparkeen and Gold Compass collided approaching the first turn. Allen Varmint and Nangar Fox collided approaching the first turn. Zipping Simmo raced wide approaching the first turn. Gold Compass and Sparkeen collided on the first turn. Gold Compass, Sparkeen and Sketchy Nick collided approaching the home turn checking Sparkeen. Gold Compass, Nangar Fox, Sketchy Mick, Sparkeen and Zipping Simmo collided on the home turn severely checking SSparkeen, Sketchy Nick and Nangar Fox. Nangar Fox faltered and tailed off entering the home straight. Ivy Lane and Zipping Simmo collided in the home straight. Gold Compass checked off Ivy Lane in the home staright. Sketchy Nick and Sparkeen collided approaching the winning post.
Nangar Fox was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right hock. A stand down period of 90 days was imposed.
