A pre-race sample was taken from Lethal Gun upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
Aggi Den was quick to begin. Sheza Bear was slow to begin. Shocking Onyx, Sheza Bear and Morta Bella collided soon after the start. Ultimate Billy and Bedlum collided soon after the start. Shocking Onyx, Bedlum and Ultimate Billy collided approaching the first turn. Sheza Bear chevcked off Morta Bella approaching the first turn. Shocking Onyx and Lethal Gun collided on the home turn. Aggi Den, Dyna Nami and Shocking Onyx collided on the first turn and again apptoaching the home turn. Lethal Gun and Ultimate Billy collided on the home turn checking Lethal Gun which stumbled. Dyna Nami, Aggi Den and Shocking Onyx collided entering the home straight. Dyna Nami, Aggi Den and Shocking Onyx collided in the home straight checking Aggi Den. Lethal Gun faltered approaching the winning post. Bedlum and Morta Bella collided approaching the winning post.
Lethal Gun was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left groin. A stand down period of 28 days was imposed.
