Winning Ways was a late scratching at 6:14pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to illness. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Hanover Bay was slow to begin. Logistic Kid, Smouldering Coal and Ruby Cabang collided soon after the start checking Ruby Cabang. Logistic Kid, Smouldering Coal and Steady Walker collided approaching the first turn checking Logistic Kid. Steady Walker and Ultimate Matrix collided on the first turn. Smouldering Coal checked off Logistic Kid approaching the home turn. Ruby Cabang, Smouldering Coal and Logistic Kid collided on the home turn checking Smouldering Coal. Smouldering Coal and Hanover Bay collided entering the home straight and in the home straight checking Ultimate Matrix.

Ultimate Matrix was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left and right wrists and the left groin. A stand down period of 5 days was imposed.

A pre race sample was unable to be obtained from Ultimate Matrix on arrival at the course and subsequently a post race sample was taken.

A sample was taken from Moltisanti, winner of the event.

Mr. Agro was a late scratching at 6:12pm on Veterinary advice (GAR 37)(fleas). No stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate of clearance, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Avatar Kelso and Enola Gay collided approaching the home turn. Stylish Al and Blue And Cool collided on the home turn. Irish Moment and Gunmetal Angel collided on the home turn. Gunmetal Angel and Enola Gay collided entering the home straight. Stylish Al and Irish Moment collided entering the home straight. Blue And Cool veered out and marred the running of Avatar Kelso checking Stylish Al in the home straight. Blue And Cool and Avatar Kelso collided approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Caulfield, the trainer of the greyhound Blue And Cool regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Blue And Cool with marring. Mr. Caulfield pleaded guilty to the charge, Blue And Cool was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Blue And Cool was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left monkey muscle injury and a left deltoid muscle injury. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.

Avatar Kelso was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left monkey muscle, the right groin and a spike wound to the left dew claw. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.

Irish Moment was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the front right toe. A stand down period of 3 days was imposed.

Shocking Onyx, Bedlum and Ultimate Billy collided approaching the first turn. Sheza Bear chevcked off Morta Bella approaching the first turn. Shocking Onyx and Lethal Gun collided on the home turn. Aggi Den, Dyna Nami and Shocking Onyx collided on the first turn and again apptoaching the home turn. Lethal Gun and Ultimate Billy collided on the home turn checking Lethal Gun which stumbled. Dyna Nami, Aggi Den and Shocking Onyx collided entering the home straight. Invictus Glory, Woofa Combo, Bella Express and Lightning Frank were slow to begin. Brazen Blue crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Aston Upton. Guard Your Path, Lightning Frank, Aston Upton and Stockholm collided on the first turn severely checking Guard Your Path. Destini Wildfire was re-vetted immediately after kennelling and deemed fit to race.

Diva's Shadow was quick to begin. Dyna Nana and Jaycee collided soon after the start and approaching the first turn. Burn One Down, Jaycee, Ok Jake and Dyna Nana collided on the first turn. Destini Wildfire and Mademoiselle Sox collided approaching the second turn. Jaycee checked off Burn One Down approaching the second turn. Destini Wildfire and Mademoiselle Sox collided in the back straight. Jaycee, Burn One Down, Destini Wildfire and Mademoiselle Sox collided approaching the third turn checking Destini Wildfire and Mademoiselle Sox. Destini Wildfire and Dyna Nana collided approaching the home turn severely checking Dyna Nana.

Dyna Nana was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained split webbing to the left hind toe. A stand down period of 21 days was imposed.

Zoltina's Legacy and Pantera Nera collided soon after the start. Ultimate Magic checked off Unlawful Entry approaching the first turn. Ultimate Magic, Mumma Josie, Pantera Nera, Zoltina's Legacy and Aston Bolero collided on the first turn severely checking Mumma Josie and Pantera Nera and severely checking Zoltina's Legacy which stumbled. Gotta Get Back and Aston Bolero collided on the home turn. Unlawful Entry and Ultimate Magic collided on the home turn.

Zoltina's Legacy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left and right triangles and the left groin. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.

Gold Compass was quick to begin. Nangar Fox and Allen Varmint collided soon after the start. Sparkeen and Gold Compass collided approaching the first turn. Allen Varmint and Nangar Fox collided approaching the first turn. Zipping Simmo raced wide approaching the first turn. Gold Compass and Sparkeen collided on the first turn. Meeting Comments:

Subsequent to Race Five Stewards inquired into a alleged verbal alteraction between licenced persons Mr Paul Abela (Parwan) and Mrs Kelly Bravo (Lovely Banks) in the stir up yard. After hearing evidence from both these persons and number of witnesses, Stewards issued a severe reprimand to Mr Abela and Mrs Bravo in relation to the matter.
