Star Ripper crossed wide soon after the start and collided with Unquestionably and Next Grange, checking all three greyhounds. Liam and Major Talent collided soon after the start. Star Ripper checked off Red Light Runner at the 250m mark and collided with Unquestionably, checking Star Ripper, Unquestionably and Next Grange. Liam, Major Talent and Fawn Kara collided at the 200m mark checking Major Talent. Next Grange and Fawn Kara collided at the 100m mark.
Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Weightman regarding the direction that the greyhound Red Light Runner be boxed first. Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.
