Meeting comments:

Kennels closed 10 minutes late to allow for a number of trainers who were delayed due to a traffic accident.

Cosmic Blade was slow to begin. Nutcase Sambia and Perpetual Kathy collided soon after the start. Black Pontiac and Nutcase Sambia collided at the 250m mark, checking both greyhounds. Happy Colour and Betty Boo Boo collided at the 250m mark, checking Happy Colour. Nutcase Sambia checked off Perpetual Kathy at the 200m mark. Black Pontiac and Nutcase Sambia collided at the 200m mark, checking Nutcase Sambia which lost ground as a result. Tiger Chien and Happy Colour collided at the 100m mark.

Nutcase Sambia was vetted and after being re-vetted following event five, it was reported that the greyhound sustained grazes to the left hind toe, no stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Romagnino, the trainer of the greyhound Nutcase Sambia.  Stewards deemed the performance of Nutcase Sambia unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Nutcase Sambia must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stagger Pace and Ant Hill Mob collided soon after the start. Dozen He Go crossed to the rail soon after the start and collided with Ant Hill Mob. Stagger Pace, Ant Hill Mob and Dozen He Go collided at the 250m mark, severely checking all three greyhounds. Ant Hill Mob and Dozen He Go collided at the 250m mark. Queen Elsa and Stagger Pace collided at the 150m mark, checking Stagger Pace. Stagger Pace and Gunmetal Warrior collided at the 100m mark and again at the 50m mark.

Ant Hill Mob was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

M. Rajkovic, trainer of That's The Plan redeclared a new weight of 32.7 kg in accordance with GAR 39(2). That's The Plan last raced at 34.1kg.

That's The Plan and Bibbi were slow to begin. Sting Like Ali and Holier Than Thou collided several times from the 250m mark to the 50m mark, checking both greyhounds. Peter Repeater checked off Mincey Moo at the 50m mark.

Sting Like Ali was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Stewards queried S. Bonaccurso, trainer of Sting Like Ali after it performed below market expectations. Mr Bonaccurso stated that the greyhound was first up from a spell and after recieving heavy interference throughout the run, tired over the concluding stages, which in his opinion was to be expected. Stewards noted the comments of Mr Bonaccurso.

Star Ripper crossed wide soon after the start and collided with Unquestionably and Next Grange, checking all three greyhounds. Liam and Major Talent collided soon after the start. Star Ripper checked off Red Light Runner at the 250m mark and collided with Unquestionably, checking Star Ripper, Unquestionably and Next Grange. Liam, Major Talent and Fawn Kara collided at the 200m mark checking Major Talent. Next Grange and Fawn Kara collided at the 100m mark.

Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Weightman regarding the direction that the greyhound Red Light Runner be boxed first. Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.

Samples were taken from the placegetters  - Red Light Runner (1st) and Liam (2nd).

Blingtastic and Marungi Choice were slow to begin. Psycho's Wild and Here Comes Alex collided at the 200m mark. Marungi Choice and Blingtastic collided at the 150m mark.

Blingsteen galloped on the heels of Tiger Whelan approaching the 100m mark, checking Tiger Whelan.

S. Bonaccurso, trainer of Hellelujah Henry redeclared a new weight of 32.7 kg in accordance with GAR 39(2). Hallelujah Henry last raced at 34.2kg.

Blazing Apache and Mad Bekim collided soon after the start. Lil' Miss Pleb and Multi King collided soon after the start. Lil' Miss Pleb and Mad Bekim collided at the 250m mark, checking Lil' Miss Pleb, Mad Bekim and Blazing Apache. Blazing Apache crossed to the outside at the 250m mark and raced wide for the remainder of the event. Hallelujah Henry and Lil' Miss Pleb collided at the 200m mark, checking Lil' Miss Pleb and Wolfbane McCabe. Mad Bekim and Hallelujah Henry collided at the 150m mark, checking Hallelujah Henry and Lil' Miss Pleb. Wolfbane McCabe and Topper Harley collided at the 100m mark.

Hallelujah Henry was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained grazes to the left metacarpal, no stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Hallelujah Henry - unplaced in the event.

Stewards queried S. Bonaccurso, trainer of Hellelujah Henry after it performed below market expectations. Mr Bonaccurso stated that the greyhound was first up from an injury enforced spell (dropped back muscle), and after recieving some interference throughout the race was of the opinion the greyhound would benefit from the run. Stewards noted the comments of Mr Bonaccurso.

R. Kleeven, trainer of Louie Neveelk redeclared a new weight of 32.732.8kg in accordance with GAR 39(2). Louie Neevelk last raced at 31.4kg.

Bomber Attack was slow to begin. Starzar Diamonds, Hard Urned Burst and Louie Neveelk collided at the 300m mark. Starzar Diamonds and Hard Urned Burst collided at the 250m mark. Night Phantom and Gypsy Bling collided at the 250m mark. Bomber Attack faltered at the 250m mark and tailed off. Starzar Diamonds and Louie Neveelk collided at the 150m mark and again at the 100m mark.

Bomber Attack was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fracture to the right hock and was humanely euthanised.

Veetee Senor, Smooth Silver and Suave Odessa collided soon after the start. Smooth Silver and Suave Odessa collided at the 300m mark. Grave Digger, Veetee Senor and Smooth Silver collided at the 250m mark, checking Veetee Senor and Kripke. Grave Digger checked off Cowboy Jury at the 75m mark. Veetee Senor and Cowboy Jury collided at the 50m mark.

Big Dunc was slow to begin. Tiger Of Oz and Big Barking Bert collided soon after the start. Sanz Gold and Big Dunc collided soon after the start, checking both greyhounds. Cincinnati Lee, Maybe Cheap, Shifty Jack, Tiger Of Oz and Big Barking Bert collided at the 300m mark. Sanz Gold, Cincinnati Lee and Shifty Jack collided approaching the 250m mark. Sanz Gold, Shifty Jack and Big Barking Bert collided at the 200m mark, checking Shifty Jack and Big Barking Bert, and severely checking Sanz Gold. Maybe Cheap and Tiger Of Oz collided at the 100m mark, checking Maybe Cheap, which lost ground.

Maybe Cheap was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Five Star Knocka and Hard Day's Night collided soon after the start, checking Hard Day's Night. Cressy Whiz and Some Nights collided at the 250m mark. Five Star Knocka and Bruiser Norris collided at the 250m mark and again at the 200m mark, checking Bruiser Norris. Night Fighter checked off Anna Ray Girl at the 100m mark.

Hard Day's Night was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the lower back, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Bruiser Norris was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Lunchless and Smash It collided soon after the start. Just Like Paluza stumbled soon after the start. Just Like Paluza crossed to the outside soon after the start and raced wide throughout the event. Lunchless checked off I'm Pumped at the 150m mark and collided with All Inn Troy. Lunchless checked off I'm Pumped at the 100m mark. Wealth and Coup D'Etat collided approaching the winning post.

The judges inadvertantly semaphored the numbers 8 - 4/5 (DH) - 10 (DH) when the numbers were 8 - 4/5 (DH) - 10. This was corrected prior to the all clear being given.
