Steward's Report

Mepunga Nick and Nook And Cranny were slow to begin.

Mepunga Nick, El Chana and Nook And Cranny collided approaching the first turn checking El Chana. Nook And Cranny checked off Ricardo Bale on the first turn. Nook And Cranny and Some Tricks collided approaching the home turn severely checking Nook And Cranny. Mepunga Nick and Some Tricks collided approaching the home turn. Ricardo Bale and Agile Reason collided on the home turn. Ricardo Bale veered out and marred Agile Reason in the home straight. 

Ricardo Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the right hind. No stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Dailly, the handler of the greyhound Ricardo Bale regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Ricardo Bale with marring. Mr. G. Dailly pleaded guilty to the charge, Ricardo Bale was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
