Dill Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Mr. Camilleri declined the invitation to a re-vet.

Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Camilleri, the trainer of the greyhound Dill Bale regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Dill Bale with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Camilleri pleaded guilty to the charge, Dill Bale was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Alpe D'Blanc crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Connemara Xav, Flyin' Les Fergi, Jake and It's A Buzz. Flyin' Les Fergi checked off Alpe D'Blanc on the first turn. It's A Buzz and Jake collided entering the back straight, checking Jake. Connemara Xav checked off Fabregas Lara approaching the home turn. It's A Buzz and General's Girl collided approaching the home turn. General's Girl raced wide in the home straight. Lloyd Christmas, Ocean Bay and Platinum Rift collided soon after the start, checking Lloyd Christmas and Ocean Bay. Ocean Bay crossed to the rail on the first turn, checking Lloyd Christmas, and causing Ocean Bay to contact the running rail as a result. Jetmag Gemstone checked off Bakali approaching the home turn. Soul Stripper and Jetmag Gemstone collided approaching the home turn. Lloyd Christmas checked off Ocean Bay on the home turn. 

Platinum Rift was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right pencil muscle and right monkey muscle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Claretown Boris was a late scratching at 7:49pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to vets advice. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Mark's Boy checked off Proven May soon after the start. Mark's Boy crossed to the rail on the first turn, checking Fab's Fury, and severely checking Down In Mexico. Proven May and Down In Mexico collided on the first turn. Bell Bale and Take Fright raced wide in the home straight.

Down In Mexico was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Stewards noted that the muzzle of Take Fright became dislodged during the running of the event. 

Borris Delight crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Seabrook Sam, Next Grange and Andelven. He's An Omen and Borris Delight collided approaching the first turn, checking He's An Omen.
