Dr. Watson and Dr. Cadenza were slow to begin. Galloping Fantom was checked off Foxy Fern soon after the start. Happy Colour and Jett Zafonic collided approaching the first turn checking Happy Colour. Guardman and Jett Zafonic collided on the first turn. Foxy Fern and Guardman collided approaching the second turn checking Foxy Fern and severley checking Guardman causing Dr. Cadenza to race wide. Dr. Watson and Happy Colour collided approaching the second turn checking Happy Colour. Foxy Fern and Dr. Cadenza collided on the second turn checking both greyhounds. Foxy Fern and Dr. Cadenza collided in the back straight checking Dr. Cadenza and severely checking Foxy Fern.
