This event was hand started following a malfunction with the trip mechanism.
Star's Delight was slow to begin. Californa Levo crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Nero Rose and Dr. Dynomite and severely checking Still Destined and Aston Salute. Nero Rose galloped on Guillermo on the first turn checking Guillermo. Still Destined and Star's Delight collided entering the back straight checking Star's Delight. Still Destined and Aston Salute collided on the second turn checking Still Destined and Star's Delight. Dr. Dynomite raced wide entering the home straight.
