Steward's Report
Prior to this event the trip mechanism was found to have malfunctioned during the pre-race testing of the boxes; as a result the event was hand started.
Ablazin Mikado was quick to begin. Corless and Dodge Ball were slow to begin. Maximus Warrior and Dr. Double Malt collided approaching the first turn. Ablazin Mikado and Maximus Warrior collided approaching the first turn. Maximus Warrior, Dr. Double Malt, Jetmag Gemstone and Dr. Luvdisc collided on the first turn checking Dr. Luvdisc and severley checking Dr. Double Malt and Arashundi, both greyhounds lost considerable ground as a result. Maximus Warrior and Dr. Luvdisc collided entering the home straight checking Dr. Luvdisc and Jetmag Gemstone.
Ablazin Mikado was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a minor spike wound to the left hind foot, no stand down period was imposed.
