Johnny's Revenge and Deal Closer were slow to begin.
My Blue Rose was galloped on by Songkran on the first turn and subsequently pulled up, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left foreleg scapula fracture injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
Songkran was severely checked on the first turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a lumbo-sacral injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race urine sample was taken from Petite Beast - the winner of the event.
