Phil's In Luck, Smart Business, Miss Wicked and Can Of Coke collided approaching the first turn checking Smart Business, Miss Wicked and Can Of Coke. Derail and Phil's In Luck collided on the first turn checking Derail. Smart Business and Miss Wicked collided approaching the home turn severely checking Smart Business and Can Of Coke.
One Five One was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury.
Smart Business was required to be vetted following the event. Trainer C. Mercieca had left the track without having the greyhound vetted. A veterinary certificate of clearance will be required by Stewards before any future nomination will be accepted.
Stewards issued a warning to C. Mercieca regarding his failure to check the "Clearance To Leave Course" form before leaving the track.
