Steward's Report
In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed ‘Heat Affected’. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 20.9 degrees
and the kennel temperature was 15.3 degrees. Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue, as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.
Sonic Paws – New declared weight of 33.3 kg, last raced at 34.7 kg.
Glowing Ethics – New declared weight of 25.6 kg, last raced at 24.3 kg.
Sonic Paws, Ulara Bale and Be Frank were quick to begin. Murray River and Glowing Ethics were slow to begin.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Arron Rocke regarding the racing manners of Murray River in the home straight. After hearing submissions from Mr. Arron Rocke, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, Stewards took no further action.
Kraken Bing (checked approaching the home turn) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have injured the left pencil and right back muscle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
