Bryce's Boy, Barbarose Boy and Mighty Sam were slow to begin. Roxy Pop and Dream Girl Gabby collided soon after the start checking Dream Girl Gabby and Mighty Sam. Mighty Sam, Barbarose Boy and Bryce's Boy collided approaching the first turn checking Bryce's Boy and Barbarose Boy. Dynamic Dash checked off Tallinn on the first turn and collided with Roxy Pop. Dream Girl Gabby and Mighty Sam collided on the first turn. Dynamic Dash and Roxy Pop collided approaching the home turn. Dream Girl Gabby galloped on the heels of Roxy Pop on the home turn checking both greyhounds. Roxy Pop crossed to the rail in the home straight checking Bryce's Boy. Bryce's Boy checked off Dream Girl Gabby approaching the winnning post.

The start of this event was delayed 5 minutes due to a malfunction with the starting boxes. As a result this event was manually started. Stewards noted  that there was a slight delay in the boxes rising. After viewing the official video footage of the start and acting on their own observations Stewards were satisfied that no greyhound was materially affected and the All Clear was semaphored on the Judges numbers -- 5 Carla Bale 1st; 1 Eaglehawk Yap 2nd; 3 Patty And Eye 3rd; & 7 Oriental Katana 4th.

Ozzie Strike was slow to begin. Patty And Eye and Simple One collided soon after the start. Eaglehawk Yap and Short Leg collided approaching the first turn. Patty And Eye and Simple One collided on the first turn. Short Leg contacted the running rail on the first turn. Simple One and Nerobelle collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds and causing both greyhounds to race wide. Patty And Eye raced wide approaching the home turn. Oriental Katana  and Ozzie Strike collided approaching the home turn causing Ozzie Strike to race wide. Nerobelle and Ozzie Strike collided in the home straight.

Short Leg was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left chest and spike wounds to the right hind paw, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Jekoda On Fire was quick to begin. Oriental Blade and Middian were slow to begin. Chantilly Magic and Jekoda On Fire collided on the first turn. Peruvian Dancer and Jekoda On Fire collided on the first turn. Peruvian Dancer and Middian collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds and causing both greyhounds to race wide. Chantilly Magic and Feral Beryl collided entering the home straight.

Tigress Eight was slow to begin. Shark Shadow and Nifty Nefertiti collided soon after the start. Ice Cold Bundy, Shark Shadow and Nifty Nefertiti collided approaching the first turn checking Shark Shadow, Nifty Nefertiti and Jayded Crisis. Nifty Nefertiti and Gadga collided approaching the first turn. King Wolf and Tigress Eight collided on the first turn. Jayded Crisis, Shark Shadow and Nifty Nefertiti collided approaching the home turn. Shark Shadow and Nifty Nefertiti collided approaching the home turn.

Arctic Osti was slow to begin. Garman Bale and Fear The Fox collided approaching the first turn. Garman Bale checked off Don't Paws on the first turn. Ice Cossack, Volcanic Rock and Bernie Murray collided on the first turn. Arctic Osti raced wide approaching the home turn, on the home turn and again in the home straight. Fear The Fox and Bernie Murray collided in the home straight. Garman Bale and Don't Paws collided in the home straight.

He's No Jet and Kaylarikki were slow to begin. Fuzzy Buzzy, Crowdza Talking and Thatcher collided soon after the start checking Crowdza Talking. He's No Jet and Harry Aztec collided soon after the start. Pyrenees Grand, Fuzzy Buzzy, Thatcher and Harry Aztec collided on the first turn checking Thatcher, Harry Aztec and He's No Jet. Thatcher and Harry Aztec collided in the back straight. Thatcher checked off Fuzzy Buzzy approaching the second turn.

Pyrenees Grand which tired over the concluding stages of the event was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Starbright and Leefull Shot collided soon after the start. Disruptive Spin, Leefull Shot, Bomber Osti and Starbright collided on the first turn checking Starbright and Distruptive Spin. Disruptive Spin and Starbright collided approaching the winning post.

Thrashing Osti went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin. Prancing Lad and Claretown Tex were slow to begin. Sunday Sess, Kal Bale and Oriental Tsunami collided on the first turn checking Sunday Sess. Zorzoli galloped on the heels of Sunday Sess on the first turn causing Sunday Sess to stumble. Sunday Sess checked off the heels of Kal Bale approaching the home turn.

Sunday Sess was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Puzzle 'Em was a late scratching at 2:55pm due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Slow Cooker and Cosmic Buddy were slow to begin. Dan Overboard checked off Just Gracie soon after the start. Meadow View, Crystal Cameo, Just Gracie and Mary's Tam collided on the first turn checking Crystal Cameo, severely checking Just Gracie and Cosmic Buddy, causing Cosmic Buddy to fall. Dan Overboard checked off Slow Cooker approaching the home turn. Meadow View and Mary's Tam collided approaching the home turn checking Mary's Tam. Meadow View checked off Slow Cooker in the home straight.

Just Gracie was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Dan Overboard was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left back muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Cosmic Buddy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left pencil muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Westmead Mouse and Derby Girl were slow to begin. Derby Girl checked off Walter Miti soon after the start. Our Velvet, Sunshine Diva and Conga collided approaching the first turn checking Sunshine Diva. With A Beer raced wide on the first turn and collided with Walter Miti. Derby Girl and Walter Miti collided on the home turn checking Walter Miti. Conga raced wide on the home turn. Derby Girl eased in the home straight.

Walter Miti was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. W. Hansen, the handler of the greyhound Walter Miti. Stewards deemed the performance of Walter Miti unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Walter Miti must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Jervies, the trainer of the greyhound Derby Girl regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Derby Girl was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left pencil muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under Gar 68(B)(1), the stewards charged Derby Girl with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Jervies pleaded guilty to the charge, Derby Girl was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Ms. B. King regarding the direction that the greyhound With A Beer be boxed first. Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.

Go Hootie was quick to begin. Tennessee Gal was slow to begin. Cobalt Kaos, Osti's Explorer and Golden Hippy collided soon after the start checking Osti's Explorer. Cobalt Kaos and Tennessee Gal collided on the first turn. Go Hootie and Carrara Lad collided on the first turn. Carrara Lad and Darley Sunday raced wide approaching the home turn. Tennessee Gal checked off Darley Sunday on the home turn checking Osti's Explorer and causing Cobalt Kaos and Tennessee Gal to race wide.
