Arvos's Texan was a late scratching at 6:40pm due to non arrival (GAR 31).  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer, Mr. G. Arvanitis was fined the sum of $100.

Elite Lucy and Dr. Brandon were slow to begin.  Jolly Beggarman and Dr. Brandon collided approaching the first turn checking Jolly Beggarman.  Elite Lucy crossed to the rail approaching the first turn.  Panda Bale and King Humpty collided approaching the first turn.  Panda Bale and Dr. Delta collided on the first turn.  Jolly Beggarman raced wide on the first turn.  Dr. Brandon brushed the running rail in the back straight.  Dr. Delta checked off Dr. Brandon approaching the third turn.  Elite Lucy and Dr. Brandon collided several times from approaching the home turn to entering the home straight checking both greyhounds.  Elite Lucy marred the running of Dr. Brandon approaching the winning post.

Elite Lucy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Scott-Smith, the trainer of the greyhound Elite Lucy regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Elite Lucy with marring.  Mr. G. Scott-Smith pleaded guilty to the charge.  Elite Lucy was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards will open an inquiry at a time and date to be fixed in relation to the circumstances pertaining to the non-arrival of the greyhound Bekim Girl.

Primal Biz, Rudianos and Dr. Darby were slow to begin.  Primal Biz and Rudianos collided soon after the start checking Rudianos which stumbled as a result.  Ivy Bale and Francol collided approaching the first turn checking Francol.  Champagne Belle and Dr. Darby collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds; Dr. Darby stumbled as a result.  Primal Biz raced wide on the first turn.  Rudianos and Champagne Belle collided approaching the second turn.  Primal Biz checked off Champagne Belle on the second turn.  Rudianos and Champagne Belle collided in the back straight.  Ivy Bale and Dr. Darby collided entering the home straight.

Champagne Belle was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to its left hind leg and an injury to its right triangle muscle.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Ultimate Jack, Melee Bale, West On Jordan and Dr. Nadal were slow to begin.  Sweet About Lola and Dr. Nicholas collided soon after the start.  Melee Bale and West On Jordan collided soon after the start checking West On Jordan.  Ultimate Jack and Dr. Nicholas collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Ultimate Jack and West On Jordan collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Ultimate Jack and West On Jordan collided on the second turn severely checking both greyhounds.  Yon Bonnie Brae and Sweet About Lola collided on the second turn.  Yon Bonnie Brae and City Rambler collided approaching the home turn.  Dr. Nadal contacted the running rail approaching the home turn.  Melee Bale checked off Dr. Nadal approaching the home turn.  City Rambler and Yon Bonnie Brae collided entering the home straight.

Ultimate Jack was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

West On Jordan was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right triangle.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

In A Daze was quick to begin.  Kobe's Hand, Sandy Monelli, Sweet Bree, Danyo's Frank and Miss Geeves collided soon after the start checking Sandy Monelli and Sweet Bree.  Platini and Wildcard Lad collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn.  Danyo's Frank checked off Wildcard Lad on the home turn.  Kobe's Hand and Sandy Monelli collided on the home turn.  Wildcard Lad checked off In A Daze in the home straight.  In A Daze and Danyo's Frank collided approaching the winning post.

Capullo Bale, Buckle Up Axel, Parkfield Pirate and Alpha Leva Keato were slow to begin.  Billy Brae stumbled at box rise and was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Buckle Up Axel and Parkfield Pirate collided soon after the start checking Parkfield Pirate which tailed off as a result.  Billy Brae and Parkfield Pirate collided approaching the first turn.  Sam Harper, Jenkins Bale and Alpha Leva Keato collided on the first turn.  Capullo Bale and Pat The Baker collided on the first turn.  Sam Harper, Jenkins Bale and Alpha Leva Keato collided approaching the second turn checking Alpha Leva Keato.

Parkfield Pirate was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right back muscle.  A 30 day stand down period was imposed.

Billy Brae was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 9, it was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Carr, the trainer of the greyhound Billy Brae regarding the greyhound's performance in this event.  Mr. Carr stated that the greyhound had been out for 5 weeks due to injury and it was the greyhound's first start back.  Stewards noted his explanation and took no futher action.

A sample was taken from Sam Harper, the winner of the event.

Summer Wages was quick to begin.  Ozzy Bale was slow to begin.  Thunderlips, Swans Twelve and De Shi Von collided soon after the start.  Money Come Back and Newfire Riley collided soon after the start.  Swans Twelve and De Shi Von collided approaching the first turn and again approaching the second turn.  Swans Twelve checked off De Shi Von on the second turn and collided with Newfire Riley.  Newfire Riley and Swans Twelve collided approaching the home turn.  Summer Wages and Money Come Back collided in the home straight. 

Tell Me Ma, Bazinga Marjen and David Best collided soon after the start.  Burekup Boy and Allen Quarian collided soon after the start.  Tell Me Ma and Bazinga Marjen collided approaching the first turn checking Tell Me Ma.  Dyna Treason, Brandon's Way and David Best collided on the first turn checking Dyna Treason and Tell Me Ma and severely checking Brandon's Way.  Blingified checked off Allen Quarian approaching the home turn.  Dyna Treason checked off Bazinga Marjen entering the home straight.

Brandon's Way was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right hock.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Grenfell regarding the direction that the greyhound Allen Quarian be boxed first.  Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that the box first be removed.

Exquisitus and Velloway were slow to begin.  Velloway checked off Sonic Fury approaching the first turn.  Half Way There, Fury Bale and One Cup Short collided on the first turn.  Exquisitus and Velloway collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Salegreys Power and Sonic Fury collided on the first turn.  Half Way There, Fury Bale and One Cup Short collided on the first turn checking One Cup Short.  Exquisitus, Velloway, Salegreys Power and One Cup Short collided on the second turn checking Salegreys Power and Velloway.  Half Way There and Fury Bale collided in the back straight.  Exquisitus and One Cup Short collided approaching the home turn checking One Cup Short.  One Cup Short and Sonic Fury collided entering the home straight.  Half Way There and Fury Bale collided approachng the winning post.

Sonic Fantasy was quick to begin.  Addictive Love was slow to begin.  Sonic Petite and Zatmine collided soon after the start.  Shawshank and Sammy The Foss collided approaching the first turn.  Sonic Petite raced wide on the first turn checking Addictive Love.  Zatmine checked off Sammy The Foss on the third turn.

Quara Bale was vetted prior to the event and passed fit to race.

Audreana, Dublin Dandy, Zephyr Zap and Puzzle And Me were slow to begin.  Zephyr Zap and Elite Watch collided soon after the start.  Dublin Dandy and Zephyr Zap collided soon after the start.  Zephyr Zap and Puzzle And Me collided approaching the first turn.  Puzzle And Me checked off One Bad Wrist on the first turn.  Zephyr Zap checked off One Bad Wrist on the first turn checking Puzzle And Me.  Audreana checked off Elite Watch on the first turn.  Zephyr Zap and Audreana collided on the home turn checking Zephyr Zap, Audreana and Puzzle And Me.  Quara Bale and Twistex collided entering the home straight.  Zephyr Zap crossed to the rail approaching the winning post checking Audreana and Puzzle And Me.  Elite Watch and One Bad Wrist collided approaching the winning post.

Buckle Up Lara and Miss Top Gear were slow to begin.  Jai Alai and Peregrin Stealth collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Tornado Angel and Vila Joya collided on the first turn checking Tornado Angel and Buckle Up Lara.  MIss Top Gear checked off Vila Joya entering the home straight.  Ruthless Stagger and Vila Joya collided in the home straight checking Vila Joya.

Platinum Emotion and Joe Handson were slow to begin.  Joe Handson eased approaching the first turn.  Windy Hill checked off Buckle Up Miska approaching the first turn.  Platinum Emotion galloped on the heels of Tarn Star on the first turn checking Platinum Emotion, Tarn Star, Abit Late and Explosive Lass.  Abit Late checked off Tarn Star on the home turn.  Abit Late veered out and marred the running of Tarn Star in the home straight.

Abit Late was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right monkey muscle.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke Mr. G. McLachlan, the trainer of the greyhound Abit Late regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Abit Late with marring.  Mr. G. McLachlan pleaded guilty to the charge.  Abit Late was found guilty and suspended the greyhound for 3 months (all tracks) and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(b), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Joe Handson was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted, it was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. T. Jones, the trainer of the greyhound Joe Handson regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the first turn.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Joe Handson with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mrs. Jones pleaded guilty to the charge.  Joe Handson was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69 (A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
