Steward's Report

Capullo Bale, Buckle Up Axel, Parkfield Pirate and Alpha Leva Keato were slow to begin.  Billy Brae stumbled at box rise and was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Buckle Up Axel and Parkfield Pirate collided soon after the start checking Parkfield Pirate which tailed off as a result.  Billy Brae and Parkfield Pirate collided approaching the first turn.  Sam Harper, Jenkins Bale and Alpha Leva Keato collided on the first turn.  Capullo Bale and Pat The Baker collided on the first turn.  Sam Harper, Jenkins Bale and Alpha Leva Keato collided approaching the second turn checking Alpha Leva Keato.

Parkfield Pirate was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right back muscle.  A 30 day stand down period was imposed.

Billy Brae was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 9, it was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Carr, the trainer of the greyhound Billy Brae regarding the greyhound's performance in this event.  Mr. Carr stated that the greyhound had been out for 5 weeks due to injury and it was the greyhound's first start back.  Stewards noted his explanation and took no futher action.
