Apidra's Double was slow to begin. Schumacher and May It Be collided soon after the start, checking May It Be and Pretty Bale. Schumacher and Tiger's Hero collided approaching the first turn. Pretty Bale checked off Zabimaru Bale approaching the first turn. Zabimaru Bale, May It Be and Apidra's Double collided approaching the first turn, checking May It Be and Apidra's Double. Hula, Schumacher, Go Go Treetment and Tiger's Hero collided on the first turn, severely checking Hula and Go Go Treetment, causing both greyhounds to race wide.
