Mr. Chris Darmann requested an early race endorsement for Coco Tommy. Stewards approved the request after an extensive examination prior to racing by the On–Track Veterinarian. Coco Tommy will compete in early races until further notice.

Billy Ray Mikado was quick to begin. 

Stewards spoke to kennel representative Mr. Carl Haas regarding the racing manners of Black Hoodoo soon after the start. After hearing submissions from Mr. Haas, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, Stewards took no further action.

A post-race urine sample was taken from Billy Ray Mikado - the winner of the event.

Marionvale Kev, Hard Compass and Jumbuk Punky were slow to begin.

The start was delayed by approximately 90 seconds due to operational activities.

Make It Thunder and Capala were quick to begin. Zipping Mufasa was slow to begin. 

Kit and Capala raced wide throughout the event. 

Mt. View Amour (faltered at the 100m mark) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triceps injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Make It Thunder underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have right calf injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to kennel representative Mr Ronald Kenworthy regarding the racing manners of Make It Thunder approaching the winning post. After hearing submissions from Mr. Kenworthy, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, Stewards took no further action.

Pursuant to GAR 75(6), catching pen attendant Mr. Bert Van De Maat did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way affected the outcome of this event.

Will Vanson and Minh Georgy were slow to begin. 

Ounce Of Luck (severely checked approaching the winning post and lost ground) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race urine sample was taken from Blame Spencer.

Little Fast Bull was slow to begin.

A post-race urine sample was taken from Dr. Yellowstone - the winner of the event.

Leap Of Faith was quick to begin.

Sketchy Demos – Late scratching at 12:48pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 92) due to an elevated temperature. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Dr. Yannick was quick to begin. 

Pursuant to GAR 75(7), Club Official Mr. Bert Van De Maat did not act in any official capacity for this event. 

The start was delayed by approximately two minutes due to heavy rainfall. Stewards inspected the track and deemed it suitable for racing.

Seagull Rock and For Pete's Sake were slow to begin. 

A pre-race urine sample was taken from Lethal Trix.

Nothing Wrong was slow to begin. 

Stewards spoke to Mr Tony Galea regarding the difficulty in boxing Lethal Trix in this event. A warning was issued pursuant to GAR 106(2) and Stewards will continue to monitor the box manners of Lethal Trix at future starts.

Nothing Wrong underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left deltoid muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

A post-race urine sample was taken from King Cherry - the winner of the event.  

Canny Lass, Avianna and Chop were quick to begin. 

Chop underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr. Gerard O'Keeffe regarding Chop’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Chop was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. O'Keeffe pleaded guilty to the charge. Chop was suspended for 28 days (1st offence) at Healesville and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards issued a warning pursuant to GAR 81(1) to Mr Darryl Brain, after Chop escaped the handler whist parading prior to the running of this race. After hearing submissions from Mr. Brain, a warning was issued in accordance with GAR 81(1).
