The start was delayed by approximately 90 seconds due to operational activities.
Make It Thunder and Capala were quick to begin. Zipping Mufasa was slow to begin.
Kit and Capala raced wide throughout the event.
Mt. View Amour (faltered at the 100m mark) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triceps injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Make It Thunder underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have right calf injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to kennel representative Mr Ronald Kenworthy regarding the racing manners of Make It Thunder approaching the winning post. After hearing submissions from Mr. Kenworthy, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, Stewards took no further action.
