Steward's Report
The start was delayed by approximately one minute due to operational matters.
Out Of Tricks was quick to begin. Cruising Amy was slow to begin.
Foxy Freckles (visibly eased and turned head outwards approaching the 50m mark) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a injuries to the right and left gracilis muscles, the left long head triceps muscle and shin soreness on the left fore. A 10 day stand down was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr. Geoff Smith regarding Foxy Freckles' racing manners. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Foxy Freckles was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Smith pleaded guilty to the charge. Foxy Freckles was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
