Steward's Report
A pre-race urine sample was taken from Circle Round.
Tinker Crystal, She's Wired and Paw Berry were quick to begin.
Paw Berry raced wide in the back straight.
Circle Round (raced erractically turning off the back straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abraded paw webbing on the right hind. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Clinton Keith regarding the racing manners of Circle Round turning off the back straight. After hearing submissions from Mr. Keith, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, a warning was issued.
Stewards spoke to handler Ms. Kylie Muscat regarding the difficulty in boxing Circle Round in this event. A warning was issued pursuant to GAR 106(2) and Stewards will continue to monitor the box manners of Circle Round at future starts.
