Steward's Report
Cortez Bale was quick to begin. Mac And Cheese and Leggett Bale were slow to begin.
Roscoe Bale (marred home straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a bicep brachii injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr Ronald Rudd regarding Roscoe Bale's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Roscoe Bale was charged with marring. Mr Rudd pleaded not guilty to the charge. Roscoe Bale was found guilty and suspended for 28 days (1st offence) at Warrnambool and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
The announcement of the All Clear was delayed for the Stewards to review the positioning of the lure through the first turn and approaching the home turn. After viewing the footage and having their own observations of the incident, the Stewards were comfortably satisfied that whilst the lure was less than 5 metres ahead of the leading greyhound for a short period of time, no greyhounds were materially advantaged or disadvantaged so as to affect the outcome of the Event. The All Clear was posted.
