Meeting Comments:

Due to a technical issue with the first split judging equipment, first split times were calculated using Isolynx data.

A pre-race urine sample was taken from Speedy Bear.

Coconut Felipe was slow to begin.

Luna Pack (turned its head to the inside approaching the 200m mark) underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Ms. Paula Boots regarding Luna Pack's racing manners approaching the 200m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Luna Pack was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms. Boots pleaded guilty to the charge. Luna Pack was found guilty and suspended for three months (3rd offence) at all tracks and must perform two Satisfactory Trials in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

In The Clouds underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms. Angela Galea regarding In The Clouds' overall performance in the event. Pursuant to GAR 122, the Stewards requested Ms. Galea to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of In The Cloud in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event.

Supplementary Report 17/9/24 : Trainer Angela Galea notified Stewards in accordance with GAR 122 that In The Clouds was found to have a more significant back injury than initially diagnosed. The injury will require rest and rehabilitation for up to 2 weeks and successful trialling; before a return to racing.   

Provocation was quick to begin. 

Waltzing Infero, Whiskey Splash and Remo Adalli were quick to begin. In The Mix and Canya Light Up were slow to begin. 

Canya Light Up underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right achilles tendon injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer, Mr. Nathan McKay, regarding the racing manners of Canya Light Up at the 100m. After hearing submissions from Mr. McKay, viewing the available race footage, and having their own observations, a warning was issued.

A post-race urine sample was taken from Especial Charlie - winner of the event.

Ocean Mist was quick to begin. Whizzer was slow to begin. 

Stewards noted that the muzzle of Whizzer became partially dislodged after interference at the 250m mark before becoming wholly dislodged at the 200m mark. 

A post-race urine sample was taken from King Kaboom - winner of the event. 

Happy Chick was quick to begin. Cailah's Crew and Paddy Almighty were slow to begin. 

Paddy Almighty (faltered approaching the 150m mark and lost ground) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle muscle injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

A urine sample was taken from Cruising Amy upon arrival to the course. 

Mina Max was quick to begin. 

A post-race urine sample was taken from Snowfest - winner of the event. 

In accordance with LR 40.2, Mr Tristan Dales was issued with a warning regarding non–compliance with the GRV Dress Standards.

Get A Grip was quick to begin.

Fiddles and Especial Speed were quick to begin. Mr. Groove and Our Tie Breaker were slow to begin. 

Anoke (checked and fell at the 250m mark) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left groin muscle strain. Anoke was additionally found to be infested with fleas. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate of clearance stating the infestation no longer exists before any future nominations will be accepted, in accordance with GAR 92(4). 

Mr. Groove (checked by the fallen Anoke at the 250m mark) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Mystic Love, Zippi Mustang and Sidewinder were quick to begin. Shima Harley and Aussie Savannah were slow to begin. 

Atomic Cabang – New declared weight of 35.5kg, last raced at 34.4kg.

Riley Coin – New declared weight of 30.2kg, last raced at 31.8kg.

A pre-race urine sample was taken from Speedy Pam.

Atomic Cabang and Coconut Spitfire were quick to begin. Clark was slow to begin.

Riley Coin (lost ground over the concluding stages) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left monkey muscle and left back muscle injuries. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Open Heaven – New declared weight of 31.0kg, last raced at 29.9kg.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Gary Mcmillan regarding the racing manners of Change approaching the 100m mark. After hearing submissions from Mr. Mcmillan, viewing the available race footage, and having their own observations, a warning was issued.

Why Not Barney was slow to begin.
