Steward's Report
Due to the delay in race two, the start of this event was rescheduled to 5:35pm.
A pre-race urine sample was taken from Hurricane Pat.
Stewards held the All Clear after the lure stopped approaching the first turn with the field of greyhounds catching the lure. Pursuant to GAR 110, the event was declared a ‘No Race’. All bets are to be refunded. The weights recorded for the greyhounds are void and do not count for the purposes of the weight rule at the greyhounds’ next start. Following the event, all greyhounds underwent post–race veterinary examinations -
Inter Terra, Bandari, Full Barrel and Rhine Star were reported to have no apparent injuries.
De Goey Pie was found to have a right fore toe fracture. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Hurricane Pat was found to have laceration to the right fore, above the stopper pad. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Xarn Bale was found to have a spike wound to the right hind toe. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Dr. Narnia was found to have an abrasion to the right thigh. No stand down period was imposed.
Due to the mechanical issue with the lure that could not be rectified, the Stewards abandoned Races 10, 11 and 12, pursuant to GAR 111(4). All bets on greyhounds in the abandoned races are to be refunded. The weights recorded for the greyhounds in the abandoned races are void and do not count for the purposes of the weight rule at the greyhounds’ next start. Prizemoney for these races will be split evenly between the eligible greyhounds as at the time of abandonment.
