You Mowgli and Noir Satin were slow to begin.
You Mowgli (marred Ewing following the 150m mark) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right flexor injury and a right ear laceration. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Terry Meyer regarding You Mowgli’s racing manners following the 150m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, You Mowgli was charged with marring. Mr. Meyer pleaded guilty to the charge. You Mowgli was suspended for 28 days (1st offence) at Healesville and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
