Steward's Report
A pre-race urine sample was taken from Half Mac.
No Charge was quick to begin.
Chewbacca (turned its head outwards soon after the start) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 11 – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr. Jack Clarke regarding the racing manners of Chewbacca. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Chewbacca was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Clarke pleaded guilty to the charge. Chewbacca is suspended for 28 days (1st offence) at Healesville and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Stewards spoke to Ms. Deborah Buckland regarding the unnecessary delay in boxing Even Chance in this event. A warning was issued to Ms. Buckland, pursuant to GAR 105 (9).
