Steward's Report
Blackpool Ranger and Captain Alice were quick to begin. Daphnee's Gold was slow to begin.
Gracilis (checked on the first turn and pulled up in the home straight and failed to complete the course), underwent a post-race veterinary examination. It was reported that the greyhound was found to be injured in the right triangle muscle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer, Mr. Mathew Tabb, regarding the racing manners of Gracilis in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Gracilis was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Tabb pleaded guilty to the charge. Gracilis was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at all tracks (second offence) and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
